Welcome to ShipX. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use our application, in line with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its regulations in Saudi Arabia.
The data controller is the ShipX platform (the operating legal entity name, Commercial Registration number, and national address will be added upon completion of statutory registration). For any privacy inquiry, contact us at info@shipxsa.com.
ShipX is a marketplace platform that connects clients (shippers) with carriers (drivers). The app does not own transport vehicles nor perform transportation itself. Our role is limited to providing a technical platform for communication and transactions between the two parties.
We process your data based on one or more of the following:
We do not sell your data. We may share it, only as needed, with the other party to a transaction (client/driver to complete the order) and with trusted service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality and protection obligations, including:
We may also disclose data when required by competent legal or judicial authorities.
Your data is currently hosted on secure Amazon Web Services infrastructure and may be processed or stored on servers outside Saudi Arabia, with appropriate safeguards consistent with the PDPL. We are working to migrate hosting to a Gulf/Kingdom region. By using the app you acknowledge this.
We retain your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. Upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, keeping only the minimum required by law (e.g. financial records for tax/Zakat purposes) for the statutory period.
We protect your data using advanced security standards (in-transit SSL/TLS encryption, secure storage, restricted access, and security monitoring).
We send push notifications for offer arrivals, order status updates, and important service alerts. You can disable them anytime from your device settings.
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you may file a complaint with the competent authority: the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
We may update this policy from time to time; the last-updated date appears at the top. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
